Collectively, I’ve breastfed for more than 3 years. I have been on a mission to find pumping/nursing friendly dresses that are comfortable and most important affordable. Having just had our third baby in November, I am ready to feel confident in my spring wardrobe! These are my top recommendations for nursing outfits as we head into the spring season.
When I first started my postpartum journey, I thought most of the nursing outfits I found were unflattering. The paneling in nursing dresses and shirts can be so awkward. As if things are not awkward enough, add in trying to nurse in public.
The 6 Best Nursing Outfits for Spring
I’ve rounded up dresses from Old Navy that are breastfeeding friendly and SO flattering. I know how hard and challenging it can be to find cute nursing clothes, so I hope you find something below that fits your style! Check out the best 6 nursing outfits for spring below:
Fit & Flare Lightweight Smocked Gingham Midi Dress
Obsessed with the Gingham design. This dress is lightweight and comfortable with easy pull down. It is super flattering at the midline as well.
Flutter-Sleeve Crepe Midi Dress
This dress is perfect and incredibly light. The sleeves are pull down friendly for easy nursing access. I am obsessed with the mid section hem line. It hugs your waist in all the right places and offers a small slip up the side.
Jean Shirt Dress
The selling point for me was definitely the pockets! Who doesn’t love a dress with pockets? It also provides buttons in the front for easy breastfeeding access. The length is great. It would go perfect with a cute white sneaker or a pair of sandals.
Waist-Defined Ruffled Midi Dress
This dress has a perfect five star rating for a reason. It is so comfortable and hangs perfectly. While it is a relaxed fit, it offers a defined waist and full skirt. The top is stretchy and easy to pull down.
Fit & Flare Crinkle Gauze Maxi Dress
We love a light cotton fabric for spring and summer! This dress has a cute keyhole accent at the neckline that easily opens for nursing. This dress would be perfect for a hot day. You don’t have to worry about wrinkling, which is a BIG green flag!
Waist-Defined Wide-Leg Jumpsuit
I love a good jumpsuit option that you can dress up or dress down with sandals or high heels. This jumpsuit is perfect for any occasion and is so versatile!

“Sleep Shore has been a game changer for us. Within two weeks we were able to stop early walking’s AND get 4 naps a day in the crib instead of contact napping for each of them. Having someone just a text away (definitely do the texting add-on — it’s a must-have) to answer all my questions and help me navigate through the process was so helpful. It was worth every penny!”
